Acquire New Achievements with the Halo 3 Skulls

Gamers may call them Easter Eggs, but Halo 3 skulls can change the game play and allow it to be more challenging and interesting. Although they are generally hidden in various levels and some gamers may become frustrated when they spend hours searching for these hidden skulls. There are however, many different types of walkthroughs available for gamers all over the internet that will let them know where each and every skull is located. That is, if they wish to save themselves some time and sanity.

There are two types of categories of Halo 3 Skulls that can be found, and each skulls, achieves something different. These two categories consist of Gold Skulls and Silver Skulls. Gold Skulls will give the gamer 10 gamer points when they are first acquired. There are 9 in total and if the gamer collects all 9 they will unlock the body and shoulder Hayabusa armor. The Gold skulls generally affect game play that will allow the gamer to make his or her game play more challenging.

Silver skulls however are different. They will not unlock any achievements and there are 4 Silver skulls in total. When a gamer collects all of the Silver Skulls they will be able to change the physics, dialogue and appearance of the game. Take for example the IWHBYD skull, better known as the 'I Would Have Been Your Daddy' skulls. When this skull is found and unlocked it can change dialogue for the AI players. The gamer may hear AI brutes saying 'Pie is good' or they may hear AI Marines saying 'THIS IS SPARTA! '

In order for the gamer to obtain these skulls, they have to start the level from the very beginning. Another thing that gamers need to keep in mind is that in order to obtain these Halo 3 skulls, they have to be on Normal difficulty or higher. Once a skull has been obtained, the gamer can then save and quit the level, if he or she wishes to do so. However, in the case of the famous IWHBYD skull, then the gamer actually has to complete the entire mission.
